Your heaven.

I was talking to a friend of mine on the phone. She asked me a question to provoke thought. That question was, "Describe what heaven would be like to you?" I thought it an interesting question. So I thought I would ask all of you. If I get any responces, then I will put my own.

I believe in reincarnation and that the spirit has an endless life cycle. My quote-unquote "heaven" would be my human body dies and my spirit flies up to outer space. It travels the Universe on the Web of Power in a very relaxed state like deep meditation, and then it decides to pop into whatever it will inhabit for the next life.

I use to think about questions such as this, but I am finding that as I get older I have absolutely no need or want to think about heaven questions. one way that I could look at it is that it's too unbelieveably mind numbingly vast and complex, that it's difficult to wrap my mind around it. And then there's just so much life to worry about that the after life is just going to have to take a rain check. but I figure that as long as there are chicks there and yellow labs, and lots of bakerys i'll be cool.

I think heaven is like your state of mind when you're dreaming. Except of course it would only be good dreams, so it's hard to describe it as long as you're conscious. But as long as there's music and dancing there, I'm happy!

I'm more along the lines of meloticas way of thinking. Heaven doesn't exist for me, the best I can say is if when I die my spirot will transfer to anothe rhuman hoste, and then when the cycle of human hostes is complete, my energies will be taken beyond this physical plane, to dwell with the god and goddess themselves.

You know, this is a weird question. Ok, if you imagine your very very favorite something, say ice cream, and then imagine heaven as being a place full of your favorite ice cream, how long would you actually enjoy it. :) Now I love ice cream, but I could only have so many pints of Ben&Jerry's. So the notion of living forever somewhere is just frightening, it doesn't matter how great it is, sooner or later you'll get bored or tired of it, would we actually want to live forever ... but basically I agree with most people, I just try to be a good person and get as much out of this life as I can, the afterlife is something I deal with when I get there. <grin>

OT but have you guys ever read that book.... Erm.. The Lovely Bones? (I think that's the title) Anyways, that heaven sounded pretty OK, sort of like life but also sort of not like life.
Done ranting.

@ fabolous: 1. it's m e l o d i c a you only got one letter wrong, hehe. 2. I don't necessarily think spirits travel from human to human. I could be reincarnated as a frog for all I know in the next life, lol! OMFG! Wildebrew! So, you found the zone, huh? It's metal girl from HB here! Long time no see!

yeah, I'm "in the zone" (isn't it lame it's the name of the latest Britney Spears album .. being with her btw is not my idea ofheaven, may be of a fun vacation though).
Speaking of Britney (to get way out of topic) did anyone ever check out the Black Ingvars cover of "Baby .. ONe More Time"? Any metal folks are bound to love it, it's a classic .. also their cover of "Genie in a Bottle" is just amazing. I think a heavy metal bubblegum top cover band guitar playing is definitely my idea of leasure time activity in heaven.

Interesting question. To me, I imagine Heaven as somewhere in space, well, looking like the sky. Everything is white and the space is light blue. I can't picture a floor, ceiling or walls though, just blue space and white thrown, table, and whatever else there would be.
I've heard that there are no diseases, disabilities, etc. and that everyone would be very happy, but that would be hard to imagine, especially that it would last forever. But I can't say it would be impossible either. *smiles*

Well, I think in heaven, everything would be perfect. There'd be no problems, no worries, everyone would get along, there would be no work, and either you could eat as much as you want without gaining weight, getting fat, and it wouldn't hurt you or be bad for your health, or either, there would not be the need to eat or drink anything. Noone would get along, no one would ever be tired, there would peace and love and harmony, and rejoicing. Thanks, have a nice day all,
